Thanks Shanna you were spot on ;)
Thank you Nopayahnah.
Gracias harsuame. Fue un momento precioso.
The Eastern Spinebill sometimes hovers like a hummingbird when feeding on the nectar from flowers. Most Australian honeyeaters feed on flowers from a perched position. (Birds in Backyards)
Wow, I have never seen one of them before. Great spotting!
Thanks for checking, and yes I agree she is rather fluffy and plain. So safe to say, a juvenile. Very cute!
Not sure Argybee. My uncle said that it was either the parent feeding the baby or it could be mating behaviour which would make the bird being feed a female adult. I know the bird being fed was making quite a lot of noise.
Thanks Leuba :)
But I'm still not sure how I ended up with a Speckled Warbler on my roof?
I would love to give you a huge hug Noah Citizen. Thank you soooo much for your help, it isn't often that I need help with bird ID. But you have given your all for this one. Hats off. Here we go :P
