Looks like a gray-headed junco (dark eyed subspecies)

The cackling goose doesn't seem to have a white breast like this goose though...

Perhaps the difference has something to do with the bird's age or gender?

It could've been someone's escaped pet. One time an albino mourning dove turned up at my feeder, and a few days later, I found it had escaped from one of my neighbors! They got it back, though.
