Thanks Hayley It looked more nettle than mint though I don't recall ever seeing them bloom before I must have since I grew up with the vicious things lol

I looked him up before I accepted the identification and a lot of the pictures had gorgeous green gold backs. Now I'm a little bummed mine looked very black. Still a neat beetle.
