This is not a clover, this is a medic. A clover is a trifolium species. This medic is related more to lucerne (alfalfa). Medics are easy to distinguish from clovers as the centre trifoliate leaflet's petiole is longer than the other two. In countries like Australia, it is commonly called "Spotted Medic". Letting people know it is a medic assists in weed control for the correct choice of herbicides it tolerates and pest control for anticipating attach. For example 24D and MCPA harms this species and aphids common to lucerne (alfalfa) like the blue-green aphid and spotted alfalfa aphid attack it.
