Looks like a Least Sandpiper to me.
Odd guess here but I get the feeling this might be a Yellow Bellied Flycatcher (Empidonax flaviventris)
I'm not the best when it comes to water fowl but I think you are correct.
Cool I wasn't sure if it was a loon or not. I'm not great with water fowl.
Behavior and appearance are both Loon-like.
