Yep and hours of sitting and watching, plus half a hundred photos :P. There was a fair amount of them on the lake that day, they were far offshore but they were really cool to watch.

Lol he wasn't as close as I would have liked, he was on the other side of a pretty large pond I had to crop the image. That explains the blurriness. But yeah he was pretty cool to watch, he was there for a good 20 minutes. Didn't see him dive though :(.

If I remember correctly these guys are pretty neat, they lay their nests on the ground and if a predator comes too close to it they'll pretend to be injured and lead the predator away from the nest.
