Yes Ava, they are quite common throughout the Americas. And despite the prejudice that surrounds them, they are magnificent flyers and it is always a pleasure to see them gliding through the sky on hot summer afternoons.
Thank you for the ID Ornithoptera80, but I think it is a different species. Lichenomorphus sp. has a different collor pattern.
