Sign In to followThanks for the ID Mark, I would not have known where to begin!
Thanks fr your comments Mark. Yes he spotted me, so I backed off without getting any better photos. I notice you have a lot of Moth spottings. Are you able to help me with http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/847... ?
Thanks Neil, being at Nowra we're a fair distance from the Blue Mountains, so I'm not sure the common name is indicative of location :-) This guy had a narrow escape from my lawn mower before I returned him to the frog pond.
Interesting, thank you.
Love the action in this image!
That's a great photo. Was this taken at a flying-fox camp in NSW?
Great photo. What an interesting and unusual caterpillar, and a great photo as well. BTW, if you want to provide extra info you can do that by adding a link to the source in the "Add a Reference" Section of your spotting. Add the link to the internet site which has the additional info in the "Other" section there - it is quite handy for that sort of thing.
Daniele, Wonderful shot! I have a Bower on my own property but have never been able to get a clear photo of the adult male. Notoriously camera shy!
