Thanks Melody! This dive site is famous as a haven for many large schools of fish, including barracuda. I was overwhelmed by how many there were!
Thank you, and yes this one was wild. Apparently they are picky eaters and refuse man made food, so I could imagine how hard it must be to keep one in an aquarium.

The both look like Argiope bruennichi to me... in Japanese this spider is called Naga-kogane-gumo. Great spotting!
