Thank you gully, I am certainly not a fungi expert or even amateur. Several of us saw them and thought they were the real thing...this is a good example of why I dont collect and eat morels, since I know there are fake ones that wont do you any good.

i believe i will continue with the ID i have since that species is common in our area and poison sumac is very rare in northern Minnesota

Yes it took a lot of work, more negotiating than the CSO had to do this week for their new contract! Pens and Cobbs are tough negotiators, they wanted increased health benefits and more potholes! lol!!!
