That's what I suspected. Poor thing, when i found it on the porch it was barely moving.

pretty awesome find there, ive never seen a pink caterpillar before!
Is he alive? it looks like something happened to him, i dont think that discoloration is normal, but I could be wrong.
These spiders have been living in the yard for at least 2 years. The arachnologist and insect identification specialist that were recommended to us have been contacted, and we are awaiting the next step.
