The Burt Family Blue-tailed Skink
Blue-tailed Skink commented on by The Burt Family Tennessee, USA12 years ago

We live in Murfreesboro, TN and found one of these guys in our yard. Our's didn't have the blue tail, but according to Wikipedia, the blue tail indicates it is a juvenile.

my dad couldn't catch any, from the time he was about 10 - 18 but then when he was cutting grass he saw the skink running into our yard so he finnally caught one.[by the way it tried to bite my dad and he threw it onto the window, then it tried to bite the camera strap and haley threw it onto the ground, and it ran into a hole.]

The Burt Family Japanese ladybug and pupas
Japanese ladybug and pupas commented on by The Burt Family Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA12 years ago

Researched and added information. In North america these ladybugs are commonly called the Japanese Ladybug. So maybe it's not so crazy that the same time we found ours in Murfreesboro, TN another Project Noah Citizen Scientist posted similar pictures in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. We posted pictures and information to the Lost Ladybug Project Mission too.

I believe it has something to do with ladybugs. I just found several of these on a bush in my yard, and there are also several ladybugs of similar color in the same bush.
