Sign In to followI hate it when they won't hold still :-) Nice catch Watson5. Great series and great notes. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ornithoptera. They really do try to look scary :-)
Thanks Mark and Jae. The puffiness comes and goes but the "sulfurousness" stays. That's actually a word. I looked it up :-)
Missed this one the first time around. That first shot is great Sukanya. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like the same one I saw when I was there, but neither of us were so high as to be in the snow. Brrrrr. Beautiful shots Mauna. Thanks.
Still on my wish list. I see it is found in SE Texas where 2 of my daughters live, so there is still hope. Great shots Mauna. Thanks.
"Pretty fast for a turtle." :-) I like that. Yes, I've seen some "fast movers" too. It always surprises me. Thanks Mauna.
Truly magnificent. I've only seen them on Wildlife preserves and in National Parks. Great series. Thanks Mauna.
Hi Ainsley. According to the New Hampshire Fish and Game there is only one species of Garter Snake found in your state, the Thamnophis sirtalis. I think you may safely update from Thamnophis to Thamnophis sirtalis. Nice sized snake. Great catch and thanks for sharing.
