Very sad about the death of the mother. Civets are so fascinating and adaptable. Pity several people have an irrational fear of them and want to force them out of backyards and sheds, though the civets aren't impacting them whatsoever. Hope the rescuers managed to save the kits and release them in due course.
BTW, visually this appears to be the Asian Palm Civet rather than the Large Indian Civet.
