Thanks for your comment! I know for a fact this snake is a black mamba as it didn't have a hood and I was in London Zoo recently and was able to double check the ID given.

Interesting! His antlers are in the middle of growing for the rut so they look rather uncharacteristic for fallow deer (which have palm-shaped antlers by September). Great capture!

Possibly a Père David's deer? Really depends on how long the snout was. :)

What a bizarre angle! Anyway, this is definitely a mule deer. Antler abnormalities like this can be caused by genetic mutations, ageing or damage to the pedicle (base) of the antlers a blow to the head (which is common during the rut).

I think these deer are either hog deer or part of the Rusa genus.
