A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Thank you Mick. I'll fill the descriptions. Rural places has so many unique creatures that I've never seen in my hometown.
nice pic.. looks ugly and cocky though lol..
so, it's actually a lizard, not really a toad:

awesome look! seems it lost some furs on her back?
I saw one too in Buru island, Maluku, Indonesia. So this moth spreads all over the world, though it's very hard to find.
Except the color, this moth is identical with the one I took pics with my mobile phone camera few months ago when I was in Buru island, Maluku, Indonesia. A moth with beautiful motif, really. Thx dandoucette, u provide me a great reference :)
Based on resources I read, I think this one is Daphnis hypothous (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daphnis_hyp...), or possibly Daphnis hypothous hypothous (can't find references), not Oleander Hawk Moth (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daphnis_ner...). Anyone?
Just joined ProjectNoah, helps welcome filling out description & habitat. When I saw dandoucette's pics of this moth, I remembered that I took pics of this beautiful moth few months ago when I was in Buru island, Maluku, Indonesia.
