Natal plums grow so well in San Diego and also in Florida. Careful the entire plant is poisonous, except the ripe fruit! Which is awesome. I make some great Natal plum jam every year! My friends mix it in with their ice cream too.

I know it's not the scientific name but I call that sour grass. It comes in every year about this time. You can eat the whole stem and flower and it has a crazy sour taste like sour candies.
