The bird on the lower branch is a juvenile. There's no prominent sexual dimorphism in cormorants, at least to my knowledge.
This is actually a Bohemian Waxwing; note the overall grayish color (warm brown in Cedar Waxwing) and rufous undertail coverts (white in Cedar). Great photo!
Yes, this is a Golden-mantled Ground Squirrel; the combination of large size, creamy white sides, lack of facial stripes and bright orange-red mantle are what distinguish it as this species as opposed to a smaller chipmunk.
