Hi John B, I got a quick photo (a little unclear) of a similar looking spider in NE Thailand the other day. I wasn't going to post it as it wasn't easy to ID and it was coming up as a Pantropical Jumper (plexippus paykulli) . So I will post now for you to look at.

Just took my opportunity from the car with this one.
These lovely creatures are domesticated but for sure you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of them. I agree with you fully that you must give nature full respect. Love your spots too man !
