Haha. What is the proper way of smelling a millipede? I sure hope it does not involve crushing them.

I'll give smelling one of these a try one of these days. After all, these millipedes live just outside my office. :)

I really thought H. haydeniana has reached our shores. I wonder if A. coarctata also smells like almonds (like H. haydeniana).

Thanks, stho002, this does look like it's a terrestrial flatworm, judging from how its body is somewhat flattened and that it has a clearly distinct dorsal and ventral side.

I've seen that spotting and it also came to mind when I saw this animal. Of course this one does not have the "hammerhead".

Are you certain that they are not in fact molds or some kind of fungi? They could be as they are attached to (growing from?) wood.
