Hi, the aphid was sitting on a young rosebud
Thank you for the ID!
Hi Lars,
Thank you for the hint.
Hello ceherzog,
Thank you for the english common name.
Sometimes I wonder if it would be a nice new feature for project noah to enter multiple different common names for a life-form.
The scientific name is the common denominator around the world, but the common name differs in each country or language.
Ctenophora flaveolata is called "Yellow-ringed comb-horn cranefly" in UK, "Tipule jaune et noire" in France, "Гребенчатоусых долгоножек" in Russia and I told my young son that this beautiful little insect is called "Kammschnake" in the german speaking world.
Best regards
Hi Claudia,
Sorry, I was definitly wrong with my ID.
Thank you for the FieldGuide.
best regards
I found them yesterday on a little bush on our meadow. Today they were still there, maybe they will have a better chance to survive the first days when staying together.
