White Dutchman's Trousers commented on by janeen Escondido, California, USA12 years ago

I've never seen a completely white bleeding heart before, the ones that I have seen in redwood forests have always had red and pink parts on the lower petals.

It looks like a 'shelf ''fungus' but I don't know more than that, sorry.

The plant is "wild Lilac", one of the ceanothus species but I don't know what the white stuff is.

May be some kind of thistle, it is probably an artichoke.

Phormium. commented on by janeen Surat Thani, Thailand12 years ago

Does it have smooth, waxy, flexible leaves or dry, leathery, spiked leaves? Does it grow leaves from the ground or a tree-like trunk? If it is the second answer to both questions; it could be a Yucca

It looks like a well-eaten stinging nettle to me, so DON'T touch it!! If you do the best way to get out the stinging hairs is to run your affected area under hot water. Your pores with open and the hairs will fall out of your skin.

It is a nice, fragrant plant to have around and the birds love it but it can grow into a small tree. I saw let it live if you have the space for it. Warning it is also slightly toxic so don't grow it if you have little kids or teething puppies around. I don't know what kind of Datura it is. Good luck.

It is a black and white Bird of paradise. I have seen humming birds drinking the nectar and have tasted it's wonderful juices and recommend you find a nice fresh, fully open flower and poke your finger into it under the Pollen sacks and above the strong horizontal part of the flower

I agree; some kind of azalea.
