maybe it is because "It is used for food, particularly in France for the delicacy frog legs." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edible_Frog... ...i don't know why it is edible frog in english, in german it is "teichfrosch" (pond frog) ...but as wikipedia says it is "also known as the common water frog or green frog" maybe these are lass confusing.
haha no! ..i should rename it to common water frog or green frog, 'cause i found it in Germany and in Germany we usually do NOT eat frogs ;) they are way to cute :)
