looks like a cottonwood or poplar tree from the leaf.

Oh okay. The wild ones are the same color but it maybe a hybred that you or someone else bought from somewhere. These are very common in my area because they grow great in our soil.

Thats a type of Daylily. Might be wild but I can't tell from this point of veiw.

Those are grubs they are larva for a type of beetle. Here in Michigan we commonly have June bugs that come from these guys. They are bad for your plants they eat roots. I would kill them all right away.

Looks like a type of Knapweed. Invasive to Michigan.

I believe it looks more like the Question Mark the wing just isn't as fancy looking as the other Comma Mark. But its still hard to tell. It has been dead for a couple days now and the wings are hard to open to see the underside.
