Actually looking at another picture of a Great Egret of mine, this ones rear feathers were almost wispy. I've heard the term Snowy Egret? Does that sound like it could be one of those?

Also, I heard the Monarchs were going extinct. And I thought I was seeing them everywhere though, and it was actually these I saw. Any knowledge about the Monarchs status?

Some of these pics were just for fun and taken with apps like Instagram. It gives it that washy look and made it appear unclear, unfortunately. I wish I had a great camera and could take closer and clearer shots! I think it was a Great White Egret? It was medium to large in size and had a yellow bill. I think the legs were a darker color but can't remember. Definitely more slender than a goose but I'd say just as tall.

Thanks florida33girl! I accidentally had Heron written before. I've had trouble uploading things properly on my new phone. I didn't think it was a Great Cormorant bc it seemed a little different after researching. Also this isn't a very clear pic. But I think your right about it being a Double Crested Cormorant. Thanks!

No I'm sorry it was in FL at St Marks. I keep trying to do Florida when I upload but this app is finicky!

Nope! I usually use the Instagram or Polaroid app. This turkey was right on the edge going up the mountain. Was a fun spotting!
