I'll bet you can hold a polarizing filter in front of the iphone lens, and you would not need a large one.
I believe this is a Bullfrog. Also, note how the low photographic angle adds to the visual impact of the image. Adding a polarizing screen might have (depending upon the sun angle) reduced or eliminated the specular highlights on and behind the ear.
The Dlue Dasher has "racing stripes" on the sides of its thorax. Also, its thorax is not blue.
Looks more like a bustard, not a Secretary Bird.
