Thank you Daniele for SOTD for my Delias... A really good idea to group them all together.

Hi Lauren, Think these came from 4 spots, but most of them were found around the same stream which we visited several times. The guide said they have found 36 different ones along that steep mountain stream at different times of the year. But they are found all over Papua. It's a mission of love to find them though, scrambling up very slippery rounded rocks in the stream, with primary forest right to the waters edge. I still have pain from a cracked rib and my camera took a complete dunking in the water when I fell !! Pays to buy a good waterproof camera ! Haha !

Yes Greyson Smida, these butterflies fly up high and it gets pretty cold sometimes at night so they are quite hairy...

thank you AntonioGinjaGinja. Yes, amazing colours. The underwing is just as spectacular, yet completely different.

Thanks Daniele for SOTD. I almost didn't post this one as I never touch the butterflies and it hurts me to see the butterfly held like that. But someone else requested the guide for an upper wing shot and it was so spectacular I couldn't not take a photo. It was released in a minute and happily flew away.
