Sign In to followDawn, Great shots! Although the Tanager also has dark wings, it doesn't have the dark eye supercilium. This beautiful spotting is the Vermilion Flycatcher. See Saturndiidae27's ID suggestion.

Take a look at the Broad-winged Hawk. Its one of the smaller Buteos. It has a yellow bill terminating to black at the beak. It also has a dark stripe running down the face in front of the eye. https://www.inaturalist.org/taxa/5227-Bu...
Jumping?!! Aarghh! Those big eyes are so amazing. Now if they can stay flat-footed, that'd be great :)
