How exactly do we figure this out? Count grooves on it's side? Perhaps?

Not a Northern Dusky. I know those....I know all of the salamanders in my area until this one came up.

The feet are way too small for that....I considered a Ravine Salamander or Valley & Ridge but neither shows a range this far east.
