Thanks for the suggestion. Certainly looks very similar and possibly a potter wasp. The orange one in the link the orange was all one colour where as these were in bands.
You might have a point there Mark...
Or maybe it just liked me!!! Or I was the only thing that had showed it any interest.
Guess they aren't called Jumping Spiders for nothing Robert!!!
The eyes sure are amazing.
Spot on! That's it! Thanks Heaps
From looking at the close ups of some of my photos it doesn't look like there are any paddles.
Thanks for those links. Look a lot like the purple mottled shore crab.
Sorry what are paddles?
I’ve just looked that up but I don’t think it is as the yellow bellied three toed skink is found in a strip in the eastern Australia, where we are central and it said it feeds at night but I have seen these here in the day.
But thanks for the suggestion all the same.
That's really interesting to know. I'd certainly love to know more about them.
I'd never seen anything quite like that before. Not even in our visits to south east Asia.
Exactly. Thanks heaps.
Thanks.. definitely looks like that or close to it.
