NESTM5A Corps of Discovery

NESTM5A Corps of Discovery

The mission objective is to observe, record, and analyze objects worthy of notice in the NYC and surrounding Tri-State area. Identifying rare and endangered species, or entirely new species, such as the new leopard frog species that was discovered on Staten Island in 2009 by Jeremy A. Feinberg, a doctoral candidate in ecology and evolution at Rutgers University, is the ultimate goal.

The object of your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to explore the objects worthy of notice surrounding the school New Explorations into Science, Technology and Math (NESTM). Objects worthy of notice will be the plants and animals of the country generally, and especially those objects not known or rarely seen in New York City or the surrounding Tri-State area.
