Mounding bush with serrated, hairy leaves, red, prickly stems and white flowers. New leaves are edged with red. This plant will have edible, red to purple berries later this spring and into summer.

Habitat:

Growing wild along edge of mixed-oak forest at Kit Carson Park. This bush is native to California
