Description:

Larvae feed on native and introduced species of the Passifloraceae and other species such as Hybanthus sp. (Violaceae). Mature larvae 30-35 mm long, body shiny, yellowish-black, each segment with long black spines; head orange-brown with a black patch. Adult fore wing is almost transparent with a few grey spots; hind cream with black band with spots embedded; lower surface similar but slightly paler.
