Pink Trumpet Tree

Tabebuia impetiginosa

Description:

Pink, tubular flowering tree. The inside of the flowers are orange and fuzzy as seen in the second image. The flowers grow on the ends of stems in a circular fashion as seen in the first image. The trunk is gray. This tree is deciduous and did not yet have leaves.

Habitat:

San Diego Zoo Safari Park. This is a "native Bignoniaceae tree of America, distributed from northern Mexico south to northern Argentina. It is a common tree in Argentina's northeastern region, as well as in southeastern Bolivia. It is said to be indigenous to Trinidad and Tobago." - Wikipedia
