Small, one inch, dark red flowers occur in clusters from April through November. Spring and fall flushes cover the plant in red. Originally introduced as a climbing or weeping miniature, it works well as a dense ground-cover or a climber of 12 - 18 ft. The canes are very flexible and covered with fine-leaved foliage
