Corky Finger Coral

Briareum asbestinum

Habitat:

Hardbottom flat reef community close to shore near seagrass beds. Can be abundant in back-reef areas, on areas of coral rubble, and is found also in seagrass beds.

Notes:

Although I dint notice multiple "finger" colonies in one spot (most seem to be 2 or 1) I believe the ID is correct. Polyps are extended giving it this shaggy appearance.
