It was a slow moving bug. I found it in the yard while it was trying to find shelter in the shadows.

The white balance on the camera is set correctly (the pictures have been taken in RAW format). And it did look like having a slightly brownish color.
If the body is grey (can't really tell from the photos, sometimes the hue changes), then it is Morimus funereus, from the same family, CERAMBYCIDAE.

This appears to be one of the long-horned beetles, but I can't help much beyond that.
