Description:

lichen with yellow-grey or bluish-grey thallus, with adpressed lobes, slightly broader at ends. Under surface it is black with short, simple rhizines. Isidia are usually abundant, variable in form. Apothecia are occasional, with red-brown discs with thin margins. Crenulate and isidiate.
