Climbing Aster

Symphyotrichum carolinianum

Description:

Rather dense foliage w/ large (for an aster) oval shaped leaves. This specimen is pink/lavender in color. It is attaching and winding itself through and around the vegetation at its locale.

Habitat:

Located in a County preserve along side a creek-like ditch in semi shade. The area is somewhat of a wetland.

Notes:

It has a bee on it at the time photo was taken.
