That's the exact same conclusion I reached... I did some reading on and discovered there are tons of species. Maybe the area where it is taken helps? Uruguay, South America?

Hmm, thats a good question. I used to think all honey bees were the same, until I did a little bit of research on the local bees in Texas. Theres over 44 subspecies of Honey bees and 22,000 species of bees.

I think its a honey bee (Genus: Apis), but no idea what species.
