Description:

Tawny, plump-looking little rabbit with shorter ears than a Cottontail and lacking the obvious white tail.

Habitat:

Public park on Hilton Head Island, in a marshy area. Munching on grass near tennis courts, only a few yards from a reedy pond.

Notes:

These rabbits can SWIM to get away from predators!
