(Female) Potter Wasp

Ancistrocerus tuberculocephalus

Description:

Black, yellow and red wasp with a yellow face on thorax, just behind the wings. Abdomen is mostly yellow with a couple black markings on top. Antennae and wings are red with black tips. The legs are just the opposite. The antennae are straight indicating this is a female. Males are hooked.

Habitat:

Mexican Bush Sage in backyard.
