I know, Bayucca. If you followed my posts, you know that I've spotted several caterpillars that are very similar, with small differences like the color of the head, etc. I am planning to go to the university this week, maybe I'll have new info by friday.

I think it is a Halysidota sp., but closer is probably not possible, since you have several species in your area.
