Battus philenor
Brownish black caterpillar with 2 rows of orange red tubercles on its back, darker ones on the sides.
Feeding on a wooly pipevine. The caterpillars eat gregariously when young.
Caterpillars eat various pipe vines, (Aristolochia spp) which makes them distasteful to predators, who learn to avoid them.
