A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Erigeron annuus
2 to 3 feet tall, branching with many white-rayed, yellow-centered blossoms. It blooms from mid- to late spring on through most of the summer months. It is differentiated from the earlier blooming Philadelphia Fleabane by narrower leaves which do not clasp the stem, and is differentiated from similar Prairie Fleabane by having stems which are distinctly hairy, and by usually having toothed leaves
Eastern Daisy Fleabane is one of the more widespread species, found in all but 7 states. It is a native plant in both the continental United States and in Canada.
Found growing near my parents home.
