Rhabdotis aulica is found in Africa, so I was leaning towards Chiloloba, a species of beetle commonly found in India. Its scientific name is Chiloloba acuta. Unfortunately, I have no explanation for the golden specks found on your spotting.

It is a Fruit Chafer, but I'm not sure what the specific species is. Maybe an Emerald Fruit Chafer (Rhabdotis aulica)
