Giant Crane Fly

Description:

A giant Crane Fly of Kundasang. Dark brown in color, long legs, long abdomen, long wings, short antenna. Central body about 2cm in length.

Habitat:

Kundasang highland, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:

This huge Crane Fly flew into Rose Cabin inn that night, attracted to the artificial lights. This one reminds me of the first giant crane fly that I have seen when I was only 6 during my trip here to Kundasang. Of course, back then I had no idea of what it is. This fly has earned the privilege of being my 100th spotting uploaded to Project Noah. >>>Map accuracy : 20m diameter.
