Crane Fly

Nephrotoma sp.

Description:

Tipulidae; Tipulinae; Nephrotoma sp. "Nephrotoma species have a lustrous body, which is yellow with black or brown stripes and spots." Wikipedia

Habitat:

Spotted at the roadside where the road goes through a patch of forest, near a stream which passes under the road and runs into a mangrove a short distance away. One of my favourite "hotspots" for insect spotting.
