1/2" long fly & unknown prey.

Habitat:

Meadow.

Notes:

I managed just these 2 shots before it took off - still hanging on to its prey!

This is a species of Robberfly and it is female. It is somewhere to start. There are a lot of species of Robberfly and some of them can look quite similar. I don't have time right now to try to find an ID:

Thanks for the suggestion Tamir, Mydas flies do look very similar but have longer "clubbed" antennae.
