Peony

Paeonia macropylla

Description:

The buds are getting big. I can see the crimson veining on the petals.. The flier is pure white when it blooms fully.. Hope the rain doesn't kill them again this year.. There are a lot of blooms!

Habitat:

My garden

Notes:

Didn't notice the ants on the blooms yet, although they are probably there.. The ants are in what seems a symbiotic relationship with the plant.. New photos shows the ants on the buds.. Not sure if they are black carpenter ants..
